Bogalusa Animal Clinic has been serving Bogalusa and the surrounding areas for over 45 years. After purchasing and running the clinic since 1995, Dr. Penton retired in August of 2022. We are a full service veterinary hospital offering general surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, preventative medicine, nutritional counseling and products, boarding and flea control for dogs and cats.
In 2001 the Animal Clinic acquired the "Mill's house" and moved it next door to the original clinic building. It is now our main office for exams, surgery and recovery, diagnostics and hospitalized patients. The original clinic building has been converted to suites for our boarders. Bogalusa Animal Clinic wants to be your veterinary clinic. Stop in and visit with our knowledgeable staff tour our kennel and make us your pet's home away from home.
A miracle shared: Little man was attacked his body torn, bruised, and racked. On the operating tablet our Little Man lay as we listen to what the vet had to say. The injuries were extensive, it didn’t look good. We asked the vet to do what she could. Praying, I asked God to guide her hands as she labored over our Little Man. Everything medically was now being done she saw him through the night and then day one. His body began to heal, turned black and blue and Little Man made it through day two. Improving with the hours he made day three and on day four he came home with me. Our thanks to Dr. Penton and her staff, for their work and care and with other, our story, to be shared. - Thanks, Owners of Little Man Polk, Wade and Myrna
